Jabalpur Engineering College Alumni Association (JECAA) is an association of graduates (alumni) or, more broadly, of former students. Er.S.K.Gupta took initiative steps and established the "JECAA" in a meeting attemded by Eleven Founder Members on 5th Sep 1993 . Er.S.K Gupta was elected as President, Er.S.C Jain as Vice President and Er. R.K. Dave as Hony.secy and Er. M.Seot as Editor.
Prof S.P.Chakravarti was born on 3rd nov 1904. He obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree from Lucknow University standing 1st in both exams winning Sir Hewett-Hernam Singh Gold Medal. He was awarded Tata Scholarship for studying in Imperial College of Technology London where he did his Diploma and M.Sc. in Electrical Communication Enginnenring in 1930.
The Founder Principal Prof. S.P.Chakravarti suggested the formation of "Old Boys Assoction", immediately after passing out of the first batch of Engineers from college in 1951. For few years names and addresses of students passing out every year,was meticulously maintained in the college. However this practise ceased in due course of time and our AlmaMater lost contacts with alumni. In 1992, after the death of founder principal students of first batch formed "S.P.Chakarvarti Memorial Trust" in fond of beloved founder principal.
